The Center Club reception in Costa Mesa which followed Amanda and Thomas’s lovely wedding ceremony at Our Lady Queen of Angels in Newport Beach, California was a raucous party. They also got ready at The Wyndham Hotel in Costa Mesa. I was so excited when my cousin Amanda told me that she and Thomas got engaged, because in the back of my mind, I knew I would have the honor of photographing their wedding. I always love getting the opportunity to travel and photograph in new locations, so this was a no-brainer for me. And Amanda was so sweet in that she wanted me to be able to have a good time too. As a wedding photographer, that’s really hard to do…let your guard down…relax…and I tried my best. Thankfully, Gia of Red Fly Photography was there to be my right (and left) hand, and I have to give her so much credit for this wedding, as a lot of the photos you see here were shot by her. She took over for most of the reception, and I was able to have a few (a few too many) drinks, and dance, and enjoy the wedding as a family member. I was also so glad to have my amazing girlfriend there, who literally found out that she would be a second assistant days before the wedding (insert a panicked look). There are so many moving parts to pull off an amazing wedding, and I feel blessed to be surrounded by some willing and eager people who all wanted Amanda and Thomas to have the best day ever. Congrats Amanda and Thomas! I couldn’t be happier for my favorite cousin (and now cousin-in-law)! To view and order images from this wedding, please follow this link.
